Walk-Through Attaction is?

Walk-through (walk-thru) attraction is where guests goes through a series of indoor scenery sets that is themed to a specific content to give them a feeling of really being in that enviorment that was themed to.

There are 4 types of Walk-Through attractions:

1. Staff guided through tour type
This is when the themed space conveys a story that requires a Staff (cast member) to act as a story teller and smoothly guide the guests through each scene. Also, htis is also required when there live effects that must be activated by the staff for the scene and also to prevent guests from touching or breaking and of the sets and props within the attraction.

2. Non-staff, free walk-thru type
This is usually just a space with rooms themed to set of scenes, that required no staff because the effects are either minimal or automated and that the sets are build in a manner that are not reachable by the guests. (For example and Haunted House Maze)

3. Free walk-thru type with Actors
This is usually the same type as the two above, but with an actor appearing during the walk-through either as a character for meet or for scare the guests (usually in a haunted house setting).

4. Interactive walk-thru type
This is usually the same type as the two above, but with an extra element that requires the guests to be involved and there is activities for them to do. (For example, justg a treasure hunting maze, where the guests must seek off
specific items with the themed space)


This kind of popular attractions (usually a haunted house) that exist in major theme parks. Because they usually provides a much closer realistic experience (because the guests are physically in the set scenes) and provides a much more thrilling feeling because of the fact they are walking on their own and not on some ride vehical.

Different Genres of Walk-thru

There are 3 basic types of themed genres in Walk-through Attractions:

1. Horror/Haunted House Themed
2. Movie/Iicensed contents Themed
3. Original contents Themed
1. Horror/Haunted House Themed

These are usually free walk-thru types themed to horror, where the guests enters some kind of dark haunted house
by themselves and gets scared from vaious scary robot effects and sometime real actors playing the scary characters.
   
2. Movie/Iicensed contents Themed

These are usually guided walk-thru types themed to a hit movie or some well-known contents. That the guests can experience the actually setting (usually movie replica
sets) by walk-thru the entire sets and scenes from the movie.
   
3. Original contents Themed

These are usually a blend of different walk-thru types that has a complete original story with original characters themed for the guests to enjoy.

<Van Helsing> ●H ●A
Van Helsing is a movie-themed guided walk-thru attraction with actor appearing inside. Total staff required for operation is two person. One for the guide and one for the actor inside. The guide act as a main character Van Helsing protecting the guests through Transylvania. On their way, they encounters DRACULA and THE WOLFMAN (actor) and other gimmick effects such as FRANKENSTEIN (robot) and VAMPIRE BRIDES (robot). It is basically a adventure genre but wite horror elements such as the monsters.

 
<Eragon> ●A
Eragon is a movie-themed guided walk-thru attraction with actor appearing inside. Total staff required for operation is two person. One for the guide and one for the actor inside. The guide act as a main character Eragon leading the guests through the Forest to seek out Dragon eggs. On their way, they encounters evil goons (actor) that tries to stop them. In the end the guests gets to meet a DRAGON (robot). This is a fantasy/adventure themed attraction with no horror elements.

 
<Terminator 3> ●F ●A
T3 is a movie-themed guided walk-thru attraction with actor appearing inside. Total staff required for operation is two person. One for the guide and one for the actor inside. The guide act as a solider character teaming with the guests to save the movie's main character. On their way, they encounters evil Terminator T-X (actor) that tries to stop them. In the end the guests gets to witness a battle before Terminator. This is a action themed attraction with no horror elements.

 
<One Missed Call> ●H
One Missed Call is a movie-themed non-guided haunted housewalk-thru attraction with actor appearing inside. Total staff required for operation is two person. One staff for the entrance and one for the actor inside. The guests goes through horror filled walkways themed to the horror movie scenes. On their way, they get stalked by a evil ghost (actor) and other gimmick effects dead bodies and ghost effects (robot) It is a purely horror attraction for scary purpose only.
 
Walk-through can be themed almost to any contents whether is completely original or famous contents that eveyone knows. It can be done in many different combination patterns. It can have show elements featuring live actors, or it can be just a simple walk-thru with sceneries for display depending on what kind of operation size you are looking for. Walk-thru can take in large group at one cycle with fast rotation resulting in fairly large capacity for a indoor attraction. Whatever the case is, it envokes pure FUN.
